Kenya safari questions, answered
If your question isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp or send us a note.
Before you go
Do I need a visa for Kenya?
Most visitors need a Kenya eTA (electronic travel authorisation), applied for online before travelling. Check the official requirements for your nationality before you book flights.
Do I need vaccinations?
Speak to a travel health clinic. Malaria prevention is usually recommended for safari areas, and a yellow fever certificate may be needed depending on where you travel from.
Is Kenya safe for a safari?
Kenya welcomes many safari travellers every year. Your driver-guide is with you throughout, and we follow official travel advice and local knowledge when planning routes.
On safari
Is a driver-guide included?
Yes, on every safari. Your guide drives, finds the wildlife and explains what you’re seeing.
What vehicle do you use?
Toyota Land Cruiser 76 4×4s with pop-up roofs, cooling and charging points, seating up to 7 guests.
Can children come on safari?
Yes. Families often choose a private vehicle so the day can go at the children’s pace. Some lodges have minimum ages, which we check for you.
What is the difference between group and private?
On a group safari you share the vehicle with other travellers on set dates. On a private safari the vehicle and guide are yours alone.
